CEDAR CREST COLLEGE EARTH DAY

We were honored to be able to participate in Cedar Crest College's annual Earth Day event for our April project! We presented a brief lesson to community members on easy ways to conserve natural resources and protect the environment! We also provided decomposable flower pots with wildflower seeds already planted in the soil. The children and their families were then able to bring them home and plant them to promote a raise bee population. We also provided markers for the kids to decorate their pots. We had so much fun helping out at a wonderful community event that promotes protecting and fighting for our beautiful planet!

SUPPLY DRIVE FOR TURNING POINT SHELTER

Our March project was a supply drive of toiletries, new clothing, household items, and more! With the help of our club members as well as generous teachers, family members, and other members of our community, we were able to donate around $400 worth of supplies! All donations were delivered by Simon, Olivia, and Andria to the Turning Point Shelter in Allentown. Turning Point is a wonderful organization in our community that houses and rehabilitates victims of domestic abuse.

CHOCOLATE LOLLIPOPS FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES

To kick off Peace by Peace, the club sold chocolate heart-shaped lollipops during the week of Valentines Day! Being a purely local fundraiser, club members advertised the festive treats on their personal social media accounts and contacted friends, teachers and family members to get involved in the cause. After hours of melting, molding, packaging, and wrapping the chocolate, Peace By Peace sold over 1,000 lollipops and raised over $1,000 in donations! All proceeds were donated to pay for grocery bills of Syrian refugees in Pennsylvania!
