PEACE BY PIECE
The proof that one truly believes is in action. -Bayard Rustin

ABOUT PEACE BY PIECE
We are an association of young activists looking to make positive change in the world around us. Understanding the power of a single voice, a single action, a single idea is the first step to making a difference. Combining our voices, actions, and ideas into one collective movement brings us closer to our goal of spreading kindness and hope. We hope to unite our efforts for volunteer projects that give back to those in need, educate and inspire the community around us, and promote peace, one piece at a time. We hope you will join us!
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
OUR STANCE
Promoting Love, Peace, and Equality
In a country founded on rebellion against tyranny, established on the principle of government by the people, of the people, for the people, with a goal of creating a more perfect union it becomes every American’s patriotic duty to take part in their own dissent against oppression and inequality. This is our dissent. Our goal is to inject love, opportunity, and humanity into a world we feel is robbed of those qualities by corrupt systems. We invite you to join as we tackle the task of spurring progressive change by making a positive difference for people in marginalized and disenfranchised groups.
History teaches us that in the face of violence and oppression, empathy becomes the weapon of the courageous. In 1960s America, countless young people joined the Civil Rights Movement and stood up for their fellow humans to counter the hatred, brutality, and inequality of segregation. These young people dared to sit at lunch counters, ride buses, attend school, and march in the name of freedom. Heroically, they placed themselves on the frontlines of a violent retaliations against a movement founded on the demand for equality. We revere these young civil rights advocates, taking tremendous inspiration from their tenacious efforts. This ultimately gives us the incentive to stand up for what we believe in and we look back the empathy exhibited by young Civil Rights advocates as an example of the courage we must embody in the turmoil and injustice swirling in our present social climate.
Unity is paramount; narrow minds must be expanded and humans must act humane again.
In our short lives, we have witnessed the repercussions of war, cruelty, poverty, and pollution as they continue to destabilize societies globally and harm the environment. It is imperative to reverse and correct this detrimental track of our species by the most peaceful means possible: education and outreach. The power of a humanity united in the face of injustice is unstoppable. We want to be the heroes of a future generation.
OUR VISION
We wish to see the fruit of our efforts pay off, not solely for ourselves, but for the good of this world. We envision a future full of promise and prosperity, as history watches us.
We hope for a time when icecaps don’t melt and trees don’t die out, when water is always a clean, universal human rights, when every family has a warm house and meal to come home to, when individuals don’t fight for access to basic health care, when children don’t have to choose between survival and education, when women can walk home safely at night and men aren’t afraid to cry, when every couple can legally marry, when skin color, religion, nationality, and culture are no longer tools of division but our greatest source of strength and pride.
We demand a better world for today and brighter future for years to come and will do everything in our power to obtain it. We hope you will be moved to join our fight and commence your own efforts.
